admin answers:

Look for sites that specialize in card or coin tricks. Don’t know any off hand (but I do know some good books), but it shouldn’t be too hard to find (more ‘advanced’ than that and people will want to start charging you for the secrets)

A Free Magic Trick – What’s It Worth To You?

If you’re thinking of learning to do magic, you’ve probably tried learning a free magic trick or two. There are lots of books that have many tricks, and also places on the Internet that offer free magic tricks you can learn.

Though they aren’t hard to learn, and often don’t take much real effort to perform, there’s a lot of value to those free magic tricks. They’re worth more than you think. Let’s take a look at the value of a free magic trick.

That’s Entertainment!

It used to be, back in the old days, that magicians would travel from town to town, running the circuit as the vaudeville performers did. They would plan out their route and send the advance crew ahead to plaster the town with posters and billboards. This would get the crowds excited ahead about the upcoming arrival of the magician. Now, too, people enjoy watching a good magic trick. Whether they think they know how it’s done or they are totally flabbergasted, a magic trick – even if free – can be wonderful entertainment.

Impress Your Friends

What person isn’t impressed with a well-performed magic trick? The free magic tricks are often just as impressive as other, more complicated effects, and your friends never need to know what you paid to learn the effect. Your friends will just be amazed that you know magic at all, and they’ll want to know how you did it – but don’t tell them!

Amaze Yourself

Self-esteem comes from doing things we can be proud of. Many people want to learn a magic trick or two, but only a select few ever do anything about it. If you’ve learned a magic trick, you can be justifiably proud of yourself! Practice all you need to in order to be really good at it – then perform it regularly so you don’t forget the patter that accompanies it, and the maneuvers that you’ve learned so that the trick comes off without a hitch.

Building Up

If you want to become a practicing magician (of the caliber that can get paid to perform), you will need to expand the number and difficulty of the magic tricks you can perform. But to get a start, you don’t need any more than a book from a public library (free) and a few simple things like a deck of cards or silk cloths. Maybe a few coins or a handkerchief. Once you’ve mastered several magic tricks from free resources, then you can build up and learn more.

Enjoy your new hobby – Entertain, impress, and build up!

Finding Free Magic Tricks

Everybody loves to be able to perform magic tricks even if they are not as big or complex as those performed by the likes of David Copperfield. Street magic is a relatively new form of magic that involves a bit more of a personal touch.

Street magic is a form of magic that is performed to small audiences. Wherever there is an audience to be found you will see the so called street magician plying their trade. It could be to the locals in the pub or to work colleagues or even to friends and family at home.

Finding free magic trick to perform could not be easier. All you have to do is to search the internet and you will find lots of magic tricks to choose from.

There are also hundreds of books on magic tricks that can be found at the library. You could research any of these books completely free of charge to learn new tricks.

The simplest tricks that people tend to start off with are the ones that you see everyday involving either coins or playing cards. These are so easy to use and with a little sleight of hand you can perform neat little tricks to amuse your audience. These tricks can eventually get more complex as you practice more.

Once you know how to do a trick you then have to practice to be able to perform the trick correctly. Then all it takes is a little showmanship and you are ready to perform your perfected trick.

Every good magician practices hard as they do not want to make a mess of the trick and reveal how it is actually done.

So to prevent any mishaps when performing the trick you must practice and gain the confidence. Then you just need to perfect the facial expressions and the acting performance that makes the trick a success.

Free Magic Tricks

Magic tricks need not be grandiose performances like those of David Copperfield, which obviously take a lot of time and money. Quite recently, the phenomenon of ‘street magic’ has gained popularity; street magic is more up close and personal. Street magic involves doing magic for a small group of people, in your house, in a bar, or even at your office. A real atmosphere of wonder is created because of the magician’s proximity to the audience.

How to Get Started

The Internet is a huge resource for getting information about free and easy-to-learn magic tricks. Just type in the keywords ‘free magic tricks’ in your local search engine and the results will be endless. The age-old library is also a good source for free magic tricks, especially if you want to concentrate on tricks using one material only. Any magic trick can be easily researched, since magic often takes the form of simple science, borne out of imagination and entertainment.

Different Kinds of Magic Tricks

The most common magic tricks involve either cards or coins. These are the two basic ‘tools’ of any magician. cards and coins can be used for sleight-of-hand tricks or even mind-reading tricks, which become more effortless with continued practice.

Becoming a Successful Magician

Knowing how to do the magic trick is only thirty percent of the job. Thirty-five percent goes to practice, while the remaining thirty-five percent has to do with acting. Good magicians strive to perfect their craft for fear of their secrets being revealed if anything goes wrong. If you want to avoid unwittingly showing your audience the trick behind your trick, practice to gain more confidence. Acting, or knowing how to mislead your audience with appropriate facial expressions and body language, helps create an air of mystery in any performance.

Learn 100s of Magic Tricks For Free

Have you ever seen a magic show? They are really cool! Did you know that there are free resources online that will actually teach you how to do those magic tricks? Well, there are.

First off, what is magic? Magic is not real. It is an illusion, or misdirection. There are many different types of magic one can perform. Coin and Money Magic, card Tricks, Sponge ball magic, mind reading, stage magic, street magic and close up magic just to name a few types. These types of magic can all be learned for free. Other people invent them, and tell the world about it. The only problem is finding where you can learn your magic tricks.

You can find various magic trick tutorial websites on the internet, but most of them are always trying to sell you something or sign up for a spam email list. It will take a while, but you can find a few good magic trick tutorial websites.

Once you find a decent magic trick website you need to decide what kinds of tricks you would like to learn. With so many categories you don’t want to concentrate on just one.

Free Magic Tricks – Where to Find Them

When you’re just starting out, it can be very easy to spend a lot of money of various tools of the magician’s trade. Then add the expense of buying training materials, and all of a sudden you can spend heaps without even having learnt a trick!

The good news is that you can start learning to be a magician with free magic tricks. And if you choose carefully, you can choose magic tricks that don’t require a whole lot of props, or only need things you probably already have around your house. This is certainly the case with card tricks.

So where do you find free magic tricks? Here are a few ideas to get you started:

- the library

- the internet

- friends

With so much information available at your fingertips on the internet, sometimes it’s easy to forget your local library. Most library networks will have at least a few magic trick books in their catalogue. This can be a really good starting point, because you can flip through the book, pick a trick or two that you like the look of and which don’t require a lot of props, and then have a go at performing them. A magic book is a much easier way of checking out a whole lot of options you’ve possibly never even thought of, then using that information to search the internet for free information or videos about those particular tricks.

The internet is an obvious place to find free magic tricks. With so much information available, it’s pretty easy to find something. Just do a basic search and you’ll come up with loads of options. Of course, it may be better if you have an idea of what sort of free magic trick you’d like to find, so that you can target your search more effectively. For example, search for free magic card tricks, if that’s what interests you.

The other great thing about the internet is You Tube. There are a huge number of videos there that you can watch for free. Again, if you can be a little more specific in your search request, you can avoid wasting hours trawling through amateur videos that won’t teach you anything. You should be able to find a few instructional videos if you keep your eyes open.

Finally, it might be worth asking your friends if they have any experience with magic, or perhaps have a relative who does. If you can locate a magician who’s willing to spend an hour or two helping you master some basic tricks for free, then you’ve really struck gold.

Learning to be a magician is a wonderful way to build your self confidence and entertain friends and family. So if you can try it out for minimum cost with the help of a few free magic tricks, you will soon work out if magic is for you without spending a fortune.
